BerryDunn Announces Leadership Promotions and Appointments

BerryDunn announces the following promotions and appointments effective July 1, 2020. For 45+ years, BerryDunn has helped clients create, grow, and protect value by providing deep industry and technical knowledge. These promotions and appointments recognize the significant expertise the individuals bring to bear on behalf of our clients.

Management Committee 
BerryDunn has elected Dave Erb to a second three-year term on the Management Committee effective July 1, 2020. He joins Tammy Michaud and Charlie Leadbetter who were elected to the committee in 2019, in addition to John Chandler, and Tim Masse.

Todd Desjardins named Quality Assurance Principal
Todd Desjardins has been named as Quality Assurance Principal (QAP) effective July 1, 2021. A Principal in the Financial Services Group, Todd provides audit, accounting and consulting services to financial institutions, broker dealers, and employee benefit plans. Managing Principal John Chandler stated, “Todd’s dedication to our clients, and his vast knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and standards will serve him well in this important role.”

Todd takes over the QAP role from Tracy Harding, who is now Chair of the national Auditing Standards Board (ASB). Harding, a Principal in BerryDunn’s Financial Services Group, has served on the ASB, the senior committee for auditing, attestation, and quality control of the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), for over two years. 

Principal Promotions
Continuing on our long history of creating strong leadership from within, BerryDunn is excited to announce the following individuals who have been promoted to Principal:

Mike Mastroianni is a member of the Tax Consulting and Compliance Group, leading the firm’s State and Local Tax (SALT) Group. He is an experienced tax professional with a proven track record of helping both public and privately held companies. Mike holds a law degree from Suffolk University Law School and is skilled in conducting tax research in order to provide solutions to complex tax issues. 

Rob Smalley has dedicated his 17-year career at BerryDunn to providing exceptional service to financial institutions and governmental organizations. Rob has extensive experience providing audit, accounting, and consulting services to clients throughout New England and beyond. He has been heavily engaged in firm initiatives as well as in his community, volunteering for many organizations, including the New Hampshire Society of Certified Public Accountants as a Past President. 

Dan Vogt leads healthcare clients in planning for, selecting, and implementing new technologies, business practices, workflow, and strategy. He provides guidance to improve process, optimize electronic health records, and bring about successful organizational change. He has nearly 20 years of experience with clients across the care continuum, including hospitals, physician offices, behavioral health, senior living, state veteran homes, and home-based care.
