Financial Services

  • Two New England financial institutions benefited from working with BerryDunn bank specialists to gain the knowledge they needed to account for their troubled loans correctly, thereby saving the bank the costs of having an outside firm conduct the review and gaining control over their own methodology.

Health Care

  • BerryDunn’s State Government Consulting team assisted the State of West Virginia with its planning and decision-making related to selecting a model for its Health Insurance Marketplace, which the Affordable Care Act requires must be operational in every state by January 1, 2014. We provided critical analysis of each Marketplace model within the context of the state’s financial, consumer, and other needs. Ultimately, West Virginia decided to pursue a Partnership with the federal government. 

  • MaineGeneral Health, a large integrated health care system in Maine, called on BerryDunn's IT consultants to to stabilize its information systems and services and optimize the use of its current technology.

Health Care Consulting

  • A not-for-profit organization was in need of improved business office operations to perform work more efficiently, eliminate time-consuming tasks, and enhance the performance of the business office team. By facilitating change while directly involving the staff, BerryDunn helped to eliminate redundant and manual steps, and increased the use of system functionality.

  • MVH was frustrated with its clinical and billing system, as well as the software vendor’s inability to address MVH’s needs. MVH engaged BerryDunn to assess the current situation; evaluate and select a new EHR, billing, and financial software system; design infrastructure changes; and plan and oversee the implementation of changes.

  • Mercy asked us to meet with physicians, administrators, and staff to gain thier perspectives on what was needed in new electronic health record (EHR) and practice management software, and to facilitate a start-to-finish process in selecting a vendor.

Higher Education Consulting

  • Averett University sought to better manage IT services at its regional learning centers, to engage the right stakeholders in planning for evolving IT needs, and to find the right balance of technical, management, and leadership skills in a small IT department.

  • MSU engaged BerryDunn to help provide strategic direction for technology across the university that aligned with MSU’s strategic “ASPIRE” initiatives to create a framework for sustainable technology planning at the university.

  • BerryDunn was engaged by the college to conduct a comprehensive strategic technology planning project that would provide the college with a roadmap for technology solutions, staffing, and other initiatives over a five-year planning horizon.

  • Paul Smith’s College asked BerryDunn to conduct an independent and objective assessment of information technology (IT) and IT service delivery. The scope included the hardware and software in place, the services provided internally and by an external service provider, IT operations, governance and planning, and the effectiveness of systems.

  • St. Joseph’s College determined that it needed an independent review of its IT systems to evaluate the school’s current IT organization and to plan for adapting emerging technologies, creating technology-equipped classrooms, supporting faculty technology usage, and integrating databases and services with a legacy system.

  • UNH engaged BerryDunn to identify cost-saving opportunities, strengthen processes, and provide recommendations in support of the University’s IT vision and objectives.

  • UTC needed to create a master IT plan that supported the academic, administrative, and operational goals and made the wisest use of their technology investments.
