His broad experience includes public parks and recreation operations, programming and administration, volunteer board leadership, facility design and operations, and community engagement.
Based in Virginia, Art is passionate about adventure-based communities. He has extensive experience working with communities that manage beaches and waterfronts as part of their parks and recreation systems and those that rely on outdoor and adventure recreation as economic drivers.
A well-known speaker, Art has presented on trends, economic benefits, strategic planning, and community engagement for NRPA, VRPS, CPRS, MRPA, ORPA, and the GP RED Think Tank.
