BerryDunn's Home Health and Hospice Patient and Family Satisfaction Quality Improvement Project

10.13.23

The Patient and Family Satisfaction Quality Improvement Project will begin on October 23.

BerryDunn is pleased to announce that the National Association for Home Care and Hospice (NAHC) has joined the firm in launching a research study and quality improvement project aimed at helping home health and hospice agencies improve patient and family satisfaction. In addition, Strategic Health Programs (SHP), a leading data analytics and benchmarking company, will play a pivotal role in facilitating streamlining data for the project.

The Patient and Family Satisfaction Quality Improvement Project will be led by BerryDunn’s team of home health and hospice researchers and is designed to help home health and hospice agencies build retention while implementing a person-centered model of care. The project will also collect survey data to identify best practices for satisfaction improvement.

“We are honored to once again have the support of NAHC, the largest and most respected professional association representing the home health and hospice industries,” said Study Director Lindsay Doak. In 2022, NAHC co-sponsored the 2022 National Healthcare at Home Best Practices and Future Insights Study, also led by BerryDunn.

“We are excited about this study and pleased to be a co-sponsor,” said NAHC President William A. Dombi. “As many home health and hospice agencies are struggling to adapt to new payment models, this project is proposing practical, actionable solutions. At NAHC, we are committed to thought leadership to move the industry forward. The results of this project will provide critical data to helping agencies better serve their patients and improve satisfaction of care.”

Another important collaborator on the project is SHP, a leading CAHPS services vendor utilized by many home health and hospice agencies. Through this strategic partnership, agencies participating in the project that use SHP will be able to have a streamlined analysis of their patient and family satisfaction score.

Registration to participate in the first phase of the Patient and Family Satisfaction Quality Improvement Project is now open. Agencies that would like more information should visit berrydunn.com/patient-satisfaction
