BerryDunn Principal Honored with Women to Watch Award

12.21.17

The 2017 Maine Society of CPAs (MECPA) Women to Watch awards were announced recently and BerryDunn’s Sarah Belliveau made the list! Sarah is a principal in charge of BerryDunn’s general audit staff and leads the Firm’s not-for-profit practice area.

The American Institute of CPAs initiated the Women to Watch award program in 2005 in partnership with several state societies to honor outstanding women in the profession. The MECPA honored four Maine CPAs at an awards banquet in November. “These women are actively engaged in multiple circles and are committed to making themselves positive forces for change,” says MECPA Executive Director Trish Brigham.

“It’s an honor to be recognized for doing work for and with people you enjoy every day! The young women I have the privilege to work with will accomplish things we can’t even begin to imagine. And it’s wonderful to see such different career paths available to women in accounting represented in each of the award winners,” said Belliveau. Sarah also develops internal and external training sessions and guides new staff members at the outset of their careers as a mentor and advisor.
