Our DEIBA Council

BerryDunn’s DEIBA Council represents different backgrounds, job levels, perspectives, and experiences across our firm. It is the primary body that provides input to the Board and leadership team on issues related to DEIBA. The council’s work drives progress for our employees, clients, culture, and communities.

Our commitment to DEIBA

We approach our DEIBA initiatives with the same passion, thoroughness, and thoughtfulness that we approach our work for our valued clients. Our commitment is led by our CEO, senior leadership team, Chief Culture and Engagement Officer, and Director of DEIBA. Our employee-led DEIBA Council and Employee Resource Groups lead the way in driving the direction of these initiatives for the firm.

We work to sustain an environment that empowers people by respecting and appreciating what makes us different. This culture of belonging enables our team members to feel safe and connected, supported as a person and a professional, and able to fully realize their potential.   


We continue to enhance our employee experience by creating more ways to offer opportunity, purpose, connectivity, and recognition. This deeper sense of belonging is the key to employee engagement. The different experiences and perspectives our people bring each and every day fuel the innovative solutions we deliver and strengthen the meaningful relationships our people engender with each other, our clients, and our communities. 


No two clients are alike. Each company and organization we work with involves diverse populations with unique needs. We consider these needs as we develop our staffing approach and plan for each engagement. This includes a focus on supporting Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs). We partner with small, minority, women-owned businesses, and other HUBs in various capacities, including client project work and the daily operation of our firm. 


Supporting our local communities is part of who we are. Whether it’s helping our clients make an impact by providing support to improve services for citizens, sponsoring a local organization, or raising funds for student backpacks, we encourage our employees to connect to their purpose, both in the office and within their communities.   

Employee Resource Groups

Open to all employees, our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) help promote diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and access within our firm by providing a safe space for employees to connect and share their experiences. By focusing on networking, professional development, and community outreach, our ERGs provide insight to help our business grow and connect with the communities where we live and work.
