Grant has spent his entire career at BerryDunn, and is the go-to expert on the complexities of regulations specific to Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. He specializes in serving healthcare and not-for-profit organizations and understands their unique challenges, with a special focus on compliance with federal and state grant requirements.

Grant is a Senior Manager in the firm’s Healthcare and Not-for-Profit Industry Groups. He focuses on State of Maine Accounting and Auditing Practices for Community Agencies (MAAP) and OMB Uniform Guidance audits. By staying current with GASB statements, he helps his governmental clients gain control of their financial statement issues and challenges. Grant is also involved in external and internal training sessions relative to the not-for-profit industry; for example, helping clients and staff prepare for changes brought about by the Uniform Guidance.

Grant has provided clients advice on improving their internal controls and processes, and he helps his not-for-profit clients balance sometimes limited staff with the best practices of separation of duties. Grant also audits employee benefit plans in compliance with AICPA and DOL standards.
